wow, what a difference a week makes

So, where to begin. I told MissKitteh that I had 4 job interviews and got 4 jobs. Well, ok, it was 3. Blah, still. So that's what I've been juggling. Oh, no, if I count the one from before, then yes, that makes 4.

Job #1---the first one that I forgot, interviewed me for an office manager. After my 1st interview, they liked me, brought me back for a 2nd but then in that interview (in front of 4 men) they decided to hire someone else for the office manager position but that they liked me and wanted me to work in their office. Making less money. and driving an extra 20 minutes. YEAH...I turned that one down.

Job #2--The hospice place doing HR work. That would've been fabulous. And in theory, it sounds great. But I cannot work part time. I wanted to work part time to spend time w/ the little dude, but when I looked at the budget it wasn't going to work. It really stunk b/c getting into a big company like that would've been great for advancement. They paid me pretty close to what I make now for a part time job--not bad. So I was bummed about that.

Job #3--An oil company. I still have to tell this co. that I'm not accepting their offer. They wanted to make me salary (i'm hourly at my current job) and well, I'd be doing something different in a new, growing company. I told my current employer and they finagled back and forth to finally match it.

***In the midst of finageling I got a phone call from a school for an interview for a teaching position. this would be Job #4. ****

I would've been teaching Physical Education at a middle school (my dream job, the job I've been working for since I started my Master's Degree). I loved the principal, I loved the vice principal...but, guess what? I'm not already certified as a teacher. Nope, I only have to finish my student teaching. So, beign that I'm not already certified, they can only hire me on as a long-term substitute. Which, they were giving me the job all year long--but I'd only be making 93 dollars a day--not getting paid for time off and you know schools have holiday's, in-service days, etc. And i cannot afford that. There is a way to become certified if the district would approve my first 91 days of employment as my student teaching--BUT THEY WONT' DO IT. My dream job is dangling in front of my face. UGH!I'm so pissed. So, so mad. I sent the vice principal ( who called me on Sunday to give me the job) a thank you card and told her that i cannot take it for just the long term sub.

They needed 2 p.e. teachers!!! 2!! That could be me. I've lost sleep over this. Realy, i have. I dont knwo what to do. I just want to take it anyway and see what happens. But then, I dont' want to put my family in a financial hardship either.

Anyhoos. So my current job matched what the other company was going to pay me, and so here I am. awaiting Janaury when I can finally do my student teaching...and then maybe next school year another p.e. position will be open.

ugh, so that's what i've been goign through this past week. I went out and bought all new gym clothes for my new job, I told everyone, and i was so excited. I'm so let down now. so let down.

I'm bored....

Cool responses. Thanks ladies :)

I was having a rough day yesterday. I don't know what it was, but I'm glad its over. I was reading over an email and almost had an emotional breakdown! WTF is that?

Anyway, so today I"m getting things done. I found an old hs friend on facebook who is in contact w/ a girl I played soccer w/ in hs and I emailed her today...after a week of saying I was going to. Then, I emailed a job back. The lady eagerly called me up 1 hour after I'd left the interview and offered me the job. Here it is almost a week later and I've heard nothing. I don't know what to do, so I emailed her to see what the problem may be. And here I sit....

I've applied for teaching jobs, but Freak! that's so hard to get into. I'm not "certified" but i"m "eligible for certification" which the latter is what all job postings ask for. I signed up to take my Content knowledge test in september. I'm nervous as hell. Its like that show are you smarter than a 5th grader. I'm going to be quizzed/tested on all aspects of all subjects ranging from K-6th grade. I hate tests. The first one I took I sweated. I seriously had circles under my pits--and you know those rooms are air conditioned!

IN other fabulous news---did you see USA win that match yesterday?! Hot dog, I'm so excited to watch the final go for the gold match on thursday morning!! USA vs. Brazil ....my, my, my. I do have to say that although the USA has been successful, I do not like their style of play. I dont get the long balls and the lack of possession and runs. You all might not know what I"m talking about, but sheesh, its definately a different team/different coaching style than what i've ever seen from the US.

I think that's it for now. I'm sure I have tons of sh*t in my head, but right now this is all I wanted to say. Oh wait...wanted to talk movies.
Hubby and I watched Smart People. That was a really cute movie. I recommend seeing it. WE rented it for a dollar in the grocery store red box, so how can you go wrong? WE watched sleepwalking last night---Yeah...I dont recommend that one at all. Pass on it. Pass.
What else have we seen??? i feel like I have watched a lot of movies. Yeah, but then I fall asleep.

I do want to pat myself on the back for taking my new jogging stroller out for a run this weekend. I'll post a pic later to show you lil dude in it.

He slept the first time around our neighborhood, but woke up for the 2nd round. it is tough jogging w/ that thing! shees. It pulls to the right so my whole left side was sore Sunday and my left tricep kept twitching. but I did go on a regular jog by myself on Sunday. That was fabulous. I took yesterday off, and today i was supposed to wake up early and go lift...but I just snuggled back into bed. Now, I have to workout this evening and I feel bad. I shouldn't but I do. KS has been home all day w/ collin and our nephew. Our daycare lady is having surgery so she's closed the rest of the week. I feel bad coming home and saying "bye honey you still have another hour to watch him". I should be more selfish...but that's not me.

grr. anyhoo...later loves.

another week...

I have tons of things saved up to say, and they've been cramming up space so I'm going to spit them out. These are meant for you to speak back at me. So do it!

Ok, so I was listening to the radio last week--to my favorite morning show--and they were talking about condiments that need to be refrigerated or not. It got me thinking, and them to (and they discussed this) of all the things we do/do not put in the fridge b/c of our own kwirks. One thing that was not supposed to be in the fridge was soy sauce, so when I was home this weekend I took it out and back into the cabinet. But I checked the label and sure enough it had no indication that it needed to be "Refrigerated after opening". hmmm.

They talked about peanut butter (which I keep in the cabinet) and the big debate was ketchup. I keep mine in the fridge, what do you do? Peanut butter, bread, jelly (this one got me)were also talked about. I keep my jelly in the fridge--and it does say to refrigerate after opening, but do you?? The article they were reading said that jellies needn't be refrigerated. But that's contrary to what the label says.

so then onto last nights dreaming. I had a crazy weird, but nice dream. I don't know if it was b/c i watched the notebook and that got me thinking all kinds of crazy-- But wow.... What a dream. Now, when you dream about someone do you tell them? I tend to be the person that cannot hold herself back and blurt it out. And usually the person feels awkward. It was such a beautiful dream. But, it was just a dream. Why open that can of worms.

What else. I know oooh. Yeah. the dating thing. Now, this comes close to home and I honestly thought this one out on my own before hearing this station (other station) talking about this subject. Do you date someone of your same attractiveness, do you go higher, or lower?

the basis was that this girl was trying to decide on is that she usually dated guys more good looking than her and she felt that they would get bored and cheat on her. The one main dj was telling her to date below her level so that the guy would be head over heels and do anything for her--she'd have it made. But she argued that he'd most likely be insecure and who wants to deal w/ someones self-worth day-in, day-out? (hell, sorry guys but you do this for us women regardless of who we are!).

I hate to say that I chose my mate based on this, but in a way, one of the (many) reason was that I chose him b/c he seemed grounded enough and thankful enough (if you call it that) of me. he thought i was the sun, moon, & stars and would follow me anywhere b/c he was that happy and entranced with me. I though to myself, hey, this guy is so happy with me, he won't ever cheat or leave me--why not? b/c the guys I previously dated i always wondered int he back of my mind that they weren't happy and weren't as attracted to me as I was of them. It seemed that these guys were always waiting for something better to come along and just wasting time (and my heart and emotions) w/ me. And so, I thought here was a chance to be happy and carefree.

But that girl was right. I chose a man who doesn't have self-worth. He doesn't feel attractive, so the first ounce of flirty-ness a girl gives him, he's surprised and flattered and doesn't know what to do and can't handle it (to put it VERY nicely). So I got screwed.

Now, I'm not saying I'm perfect, I'm just saying that I'm stronger. I know how to handle myself. Granted, its taken me a long time, and a lot of ooops before I've gotten to where I know how to handle those situations, but I handle them. I've learned from getting burned enough that some things are just worth passing over. You know what I mean?

But what is the right choice? Is there one? Do you ever think about these things? And have you had the same problems?

fast typing.

shees. Sorry about the small pictures. My bad. I'll get more BIGGER ones to you when I get a chance.

My J is alive! My J is alive!! And his birthday is on thursday. Happy early Birthday to you.

Ok, so back to business. Well, no not really. I've been busy, as you all have too, I know.I suck. But seriously, I've been cheating on this site by using a pen and paper. wow. what a thought, right? Well and I'm all into new sites for fitness b/c I joined a biggest loser challenge. Its really just motivation for me to lose my baby weight. I know, I know 7 months and still not in my pre-preg clothes. I hate it! ugh. But then, i'm not doing grand things to help it. I *have* been working out. I have to sacrifice in order to get what I want. So...I get up at 545 a.m. to take my butt to the gym. Today was cardio, tomorrow is project mayhem. hehe. doesn't that just sound like fun!

Hmm, I've been on the prowl for a new work thing. I've been trying my a** off to find something, keep your fingers crossed.

Lil dude has 2 teeth! 2 teeth, and a new car seat. where has the time gone? Summer is coming to a close, and that's just sad. You know what else is sad? The difference in my life since having the baby. Ok, so sad, no..but definately different. I'm completely happy, but the *go* that I used to do. Go to the gym when I want, have a drink when I want, read the paper when I want. Its all selective. I'm updating quickly so I just wanted to say hi!
